Every structure, regardless of size, purpose, social importance, historical value, or intended lifespan, should be considered and cared for uniquely, as we would a newborn human child. If a child is shown the proper care and devotion it can grow to be healthy individual, ready to make a contribution to the society that raised it.
Imagine if we considered our structures in a similar manner.
From the beginning stages of design to the final stages of construction, if everyone involved in the raising of our structures offered the same kind of care and devotion, our communities would be filled with structures that we value and care for. We would inhabit and interact with these structures on a daily basis with appreciation, and in turn, these structures would contribute to the betterment of our societies and our personal lives.
Structural engineering is an essential part of making our structures safe, sustainable, and economically efficient, but a devoted and conscientious structural engineer can improve our quality of life.
JWO Structural Engineering is committed to using structural engineering to build a better world to live in.
